Football fans across the world will be shelling out to attend the most exciting event in the football calendar. The World Cup ticket allocation league table shows that English fans have been allotted 51,222 tickets to the games. It is estimated that 10,000 England football fans will be flying off to see a match at an estimated cost of £10,000 each with a total cost of £100 million being spent.
Tickets have been allocated through the Fifa ballot and the FA has sold tickets to the thousands of England Fan Clubs. Each fan could apply for as many as 28 tickets and whilst this all sounds really good, fans need to ensure that their homes are properly protected from thieves only too interested in how they can benefit from an empty home. Once you have clarified that you are properly insured against theft whilst you are away, you should check that you have correctly assessed your belongings and included anything in the shed or garage and garden that has any value and been purchased since your original policy was taken out.
Homes can easily become fantastic burgling opportunities to thieves who may over hear a conversation in the local pub or club and make it their business to pay a visit when the competition is in full swing. There are plenty of things you can do to avoid the disappointment of coming back to a home that has been trashed.
There are some simple checks you can carry out that should help avoid any unwanted visitors whilst you are away.
So once you have made sure your home is fully insured for buildings and its contents, you can relax in the knowledge your home is covered while away. Then all there is to do is enjoy the trip and cheer on England. Here are a few useful links with more information about the World Cup.
