M&S prolongs cut-price house insurance

Marks & Spencer Money has announced that it will be continuing its car and home insurance summer sale until October 16.

The company announced that the sale was a hit with consumers, and was going to continue because of popular demand.

The deal offers homeowners a £50 discount on their home insurance and car insurance, and &More credit card and chargecard holders will also get 250 free &More reward points merely by getting an insurance quote.

'The £50 discount has given thousands of customers the chance to enjoy the experience of having cover that includes all the additional extras as standard. We're confident that once customers join us, they’ll stick with us,' said M&S Money head of insurance, Steve Price.

The home insurance cover offers an unlimited policy so that customers will never be underinsured, which will be welcome news to consumers after reports that homeowners regularly undervalue their homes and possessions.
