Brits spend a whopping £10.2 billion annually on beauty products reveals a new survey.
Women were found to be the most excessive, with 20 per cent of women admitting they spent £50 or more on anti-aging cream, and possessing more than ten bottles of perfume.
Men tended to agree with the findings, with 60 per cent of the male population saying that their female partners cluttered up the bathroom with products and a further 70 per cent feeling the opposite sex spent too much money on bathroom goods such as lotions and scent.
Churchill Home Insurance advises Brits not to underestimate the value of their house's contents, as these beauty purchases can add up to a substantial amount of money.
'Homeowners should regularly check the replacement value of their belongings to ensure they have adequate insurance cover, which helps in the event of a claim,' said Churchill's head of Home Insurance, Martin Scott.
Women weren't the only sex spending on bathroom toiletries, and also admitted to some considerable spending.
A quarter of men said they splashed out on expensive products that are normally used by women.
