Insurance company Privilege Insurance has extended its price guarantee to cover all of its home insurance products.
The company is trying to better renewal quotes for claim-free households in an offer similar to its car insurance deals for safe drivers.
Privilege has guaranteed to beat renewal quotes for customers who have not claimed on their home insurance for four years or more, whether it is building insurance or contents insurance.
In the policy, customers are offered buildings and contents insurance, either separately or as a package, with contents cover including 'new for old' replacement of items.
Privilege's buildings insurance covers policyholders against damage from storms and flood damage. Subsidence with outbuildings, including garages and sheds, is also included which could prove popular following warnings from insurers of the risk of climate change on property.
The company’s contents cover works on a 'sum insured' basis, where customers can tailor the insurance policy to their own needs and existing Privilege car insurance customers will be entitled to a 25 per cent discount on their home cover.
Ian Parker, managing director of Privilege Insurance commented: "Our car insurance price guarantee has proved popular with safe drivers, so it makes sense to make a similar offer to home insurance customers."
