Wednesday woe for homeowners

It seems that Wednesday is not a good day to choose for an evening out as a new survey reveals that Brits are most likely to be burgled on that day of the week.

Just why thieves prefer a Wednesday to any day is other is unclear, but Churchill Home Insurance reports that it is more popular with thieves than a weekend break in.

Home insurance is invaluable for protecting belongings against the risk if theft and home insurance should also compensate for any damage caused by burglars such as broken windows or trashed furniture.

Robbers are stealing around £127 million, writes the Metro, as burglars take advantage of people leaving their homes for mid-week socialising, sports and hobbies.

It is important that Brits protect their £127 million worth of goods against theft, and home insurance is the ideal safeguard suggested the survey that interviewed more than 1,400 people in the UK.
